AnyBody Argentina: http://www.anybodyargentina.org
AnyBody Argentina is proud to be part of the larger global movement Endangered Bodies (www.endangeredbodies.org), currently comprised of seven other cities around the globe, all committed to challenging the toxic culture that teaches us to hate our own bodies.
AnyBody Argentina, based out of Buenos Aires since 2010, is committed to transforming the current visual culture and society into one that includes a wide diversity of bodies. A primary focus of our work has involved promoting size law compliance, so that the majority of Argentines (with a focus on teens and women) are able to purchase fashionable clothes with ease, without having to face size prejudice. We also run regular awareness campaigns that highlight the importance of diversity.
We are completely volunteer-run and are always looking for passionate people to join our growing movement. If you are interested in becoming involved, please send along your CV to email@example.com
Look forward to hearing from you!

Today SACS provides individualized backpacks for underprivileged children in Greater Buenos Aires area so that they may begin their school year in March prepared and eager to learn. Volunteers help fill the backpacks and then they are delivered directly to the children. Fund raising is accomplished through various events, raffles and gratefully accepted corporate and personal donations.

Kindermusik class is taught by independent teachers, so you need to be cautious with which classes you seek out, but Alcira is a great instructor (she speaks perfect English though the class is conducted in Spanish). The classes focus on music and dance for children 0-5 years old (separated by age). They offer sign up for monthly classes, one class per week, for AR$400 per month. There is a one time inscription fee that changes yearly, though you are able to attend a trail class before committing to the monthly fee. The classes run on a semester schedule.
Location: Instituto Cambridge, Recoleta, Tucumán 1483
There is also a Kindermusik location in Recoleta, taught within the Cambridge Institute. The instructors speak English, though the class is taught in Spanish. The classroom is smaller, though clean and still quite nice, and the fees are around 50% of the Palermo location.

An interactive science museum ideal for children 4 years old and up. Their motto “Prohibido no tocar” (it’s forbidden not to touch) makes this museum great for any toddling little ones, though under the age of 4 they are probably not understanding a whole lot of the science part. As of 2013, the entrance fee is AR$25 for anyone over the age of 4.

ONE BIKE: http://onebike.com.ar/

A great bike mechanic: It’s a small place, run by the owner, which means you talk to the actual person who will be repairing your bike – unlike in the big shops, where the counter staff doesn’t always pass along all of the information. This guy is quite reasonably priced, much faster than the other shops, but most importantly, goes above and beyond. This mechanic often fixes extra little things on his own initiative, without being asked to, and then doesn’t charge for these extras!

So far they have a 100% costumes satisfaction rate and that is because they don’t play any of the games of hussles. What ever the size of the project, it will be completed on time and on budget and done to the highest standard. I started working for these guys exactly because of their philosophy, a real old school good business sense which is so rare to find here in Buenos Aires. I encourage you to read the story of how Iris Pintura came to be at http://irispintura.com/about-us/; in itself it is a very heart warming tale so rarely heard in this world. If you are considering a project you may want to read our manifesto as well at http://irispintura.com/our-manifesto/. It does not matter if its a small reconstruction or if you are an architect or a real estate developer, we work on every scale.
