July Walking Tour — Off to the city of La Plata — July 7, 9 am

When Buenos Aires was federalized and the province lost its capital to the National Government, a new capital city for the province was needed. La Plata is the result of 19th century planning.  It has beautiful buildings and avenues and is only one hour away from BA!

Itinerary: We will take the Roca Line train in Constitución Station to La Plata city. Once in La Plata we will walk to the La Plata Museum and spend around 1 hour seeing the most important exhibitions. Then we will head for the Dardo Rocha Passage Cultural Centre, and on our way we will take a look at Casa Curuchet, UNESCO heritage of modern architecture.

Lunch time

After Lunch , we will head for La Plata Cathedral and have access to its museum and one of its towers. On our way we will be able to appreciate and learn about the design of the city and the history of the buildings that make this city worth spending a day.
